Dissertation: "Aspects of patch dynamics and disturbance in a northern mixed prairie."
Mixed prairie is subject to many patch-forming events thought to be important for the reproduction of many species. This thesis provided the first comparison of different kinds of patches occurring at the same prairie site, taking both an experimental and descriptive approach to understanding patch colonization and composition.
