Student Work in the Biology Department
The biology department typically hires nearly 100 student workers each semester and additional students in the summer. We hire students to work in the greenhouse, stockroom, stockroom office, department office, to clean the aquaria and turtle rooms, to work as research assistants and teaching assistants (TAs) and more. Click on interim postions or spring positions for a list of work study opportunities and details (supervisor, expected hours per week, skills required, etc).
If you are interested in working in the biology department, please complete an application (below) and turn it in to Dave Burton, our Stockroom Technician via Campus Mail. Dave can also answer any questions regarding student work and can be reached at 507-786-3393 or burton@stolaf.edu. If you are interested in being a TA, please get permission from the professor who is teaching the section you want to assist prior to applying.
