Selection Criteria

Many factors are taken into consideration when considering an applicant and the criteria differ greatly by the profession. Some of the factors when selecting students for admission are the following:

  • Academic record (GPA, rigor, etc)
  • Test scores
  • Activities, service, career exposure as reflected in the application
  • Recommendation/evaluation letters
  • Interview

Many aspects go into the decision which is summarized in the Heath Career Puzzle prepared by Kerry Chessman of Capital University.
