JessicaBiomolecular Science at St. Olaf College

Biomolecular Science at St. Olaf College is a program offering students a "concentration" rather than a major.  In the past, this concentration has been called the "molecular biology concentration," but revamped requirements, a more flexible focus, and a new name were adopted during the 2003-2004 academic year.  A concentration in biomolecular science can be a concentration in molecular genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biophysics, and a whole lot more.  Students take Explorations in Biomolecular Science (BmolS 201) as early in their college career as possible, in order to explore the breadth of the biomolecular area and determine their area of highest interest.  Click here for an overview of the area.
