St. Olaf has an on-campus site license for Spartan Student. You can run Spartan Student on any Windows computer that is connected to the campus network. Installation of Spartan Student is very simple. You will need administrator access to your computer.
- 1. If you are at a campus-owned computer, go to Computer, Installs drive, SpartanStudent. If you are using your own computer, follow the instructions at http://stolaf.edu/services/iit/documentation/netfolders to "map a network drive" to \\stofiles.stolaf.edu\prime\Installs\SpartanStudent. You are looking for a directory that looks like this:
- 2. Run the .exe file there, probably SpartanStudentV4.exe, or something of that nature. It takes some time to install this very large package (176 Mb). Don't run Spartan Student yet.
- 3. In that same directory RIGHT CLICK (MacBook Pro running Windows: SHIFT-F10) on CopyNethasp.cmd, and select "Run as Administrator." You should be all set.
