Placement Test for the Class of 2015

Students with some background in Chinese are expected to take the placement test. The test will be administrated on campus during Week 1.

TIME: 4:15pm on Monday, September 5, 2011.

PLACE: Tomson Hall 300.

FORMAT: Chinese had two levels of placement test: one for those who want to test into Chinese 251 and the other for those who want to test into Chinese 231.

The tests include vocabulary, grammar (correcting errors and scrambled
sentences), translation, dictation, and sentence creation. After the
test, the students will have a five-minute conversation with the
professor for oral proficiency evaluation.
