Welcome to the Web Portfolio for my self-designed major,"American Values: Religion and Society in the United States" through the Center for Integrative Studies at St. Olaf College.

My hope is that this site will help people of a variety of backgrounds and interests find new ways to ask questions about the interaction between religious values and social behavior, as well as the role of the Christian church in United States society.  As my studies have been focused primarily through the lens of my own culture and environment, this major is necessarily focused on Christianity in the United States, but I would hope that my analysis of the interaction between this particular religion in this particular culture might offer tools for doing so with a wide variety of faith traditions and cultural contexts.

Navigating this site will lead you to my own academic studies and spiritual reflections, as well as to resources that I have designed for religious communities who are seeking guidance to consider faith life outside the walls of our churches. This site is meant to facilitate conversation and interaction within and among religious groups, in addition to presenting my own work in this area.
