| Once upon a time, a young man named Christian Huebner arrived at St. Olaf College eager to make for himself an education.
As its title suggests, this chapter of the site is devoted to the primordial ooze out of which this education has emerged. In the links to the right, you will first find an account of the story of my major as I see it today in the tentative confidence of scientific hindsight (History). Below this is an artifact: my original proposal for the major, the original creation story I told at the outset. This is followed by my own version of the "Works and Days", a nitty-gritty account of the individual classes that together constitute the blooming, buzzing organism that is Creative Writing and Philosophy. Take a peek into the past--but please mind the muck. |
