"And, what does it mean to be a poet? It was a long time before I realized that to be a poet means essentially to see, but mark well, to see in such a way that whatever is seen is perceived by the audience just as the poet saw it… to write what is truly inspiring."
-Henrik Ibsen, Norwegian playwright

Welcome

Welcome to my web portfolio for my individual CIS major, Writing for Performance. My major has focused on learning, practicing, and polishing the art and craft of writing for the stage and screen through a variety of courses and projects. My major is also the study of the playwright's method, going from basic notes, to character sketches and to eventually the world of the play and the performance.

This website will guide you through my major, providing a summary of what my major entails, why and how I came to develop it, a list of the courses which comprise my major, and my goals. You will also find relevant past works that I have written for my major, including scripts, essays and classroom responses. Additionally, you will find the Winner of the 2009 Interim Film Festival, Cold Front. I invite you to explore my portfolio as well as my work.
