Environmental Discourse Analysis is an independent major I have conducted through the Center for Integrative Studies. This website provides an overview of my major and the work I have completed.

More importantly, this site illustrates the concept of discourse and methods of discourse analysis. The ideas, works, and classes I have been involved with at St. Olaf College are spun together to show the development, connection, and synthesis of my environmental thoughts.

Details of my major, including the proposal, give a cursory view of my research. The bulk of my major's worth, however, is in the synthetic thinking it allows; more lies in the relationships between thoughts than in the thought itself, as is illustrated in the Genealogy of Works and History of Classes sections.
