| What symbolism is there?
The Crab means many things to many people. It has symbolized youth and opportunity, the fight against communism, the election of Ross Perot, and yes, even the hope for a better future in which we live in perfect bliss, world hunger is wiped out, and there are no harsh feelings anywhere. The largest symbolism of The Crab is what it means to me. You would think that I, as the creator, would have some sort of special meaning for The Crab. You are right; however, I cannot tell you exactly what that is, mainly for world domination confliction problems. I can allude to it in underhanded ways. Youth and opportunity? The Crab symbolizes youth and opportunity in two main ways. First, my obsession with The Crab shows how incredibly much time I have to, as some people would put it, waste on a silly drawing. While everyone else has grown up and works in a cube, toiling day in and day out in a dead end job in which they hate their cube, but they can't find the door out because the mounds of paperwork piling up around them suffocates them and they die under the paper weeks before they are discovered... whups. Tangent. While everyone works, I have fun drawing The Crab. The second way it symbolizes youth and opportunity is in the way that it will evolve into the figure head of a world wide (possibly nebulous) organization of unknown origin, idea, and even purpose. Fight against communism? Oh, sure, you're not going to believe me, but here it goes any ways. The Crab is a crustacean who has stood up against communism for the majority of it's life. Granted, it's life has only been four years, but in that time it has done more to combat communism than a number of politicians. Granted, our idealistic war with our communist counterparts ended years ago, but did you ever actually SEE the cold war end? I didn't think so. The Crab maintains a vigilante group that puts down insurrections where they occur. Nutcase? Did I just hear you call me a nutcase? Communism is growing at an alarming pace and The Crab is our only line of defense. Show some respect. The Election of Ross Perot? I'll bet you didn't know that Ross Perot is running in the 2000 Presidential Election. Well, he is, and The Crab seems to keep coming up in his campaign. I have no political agenda, nor does The Crab, but nonetheless, Ross Perot is leeching off the superior popularity of The Crab in his ever increasing desire for presidency. Although you may not have ACTUALLY noticed The Crab in any of his political ads, The Crab is there, it's just subliminally flashed on the screen. Come to think of it, if you haven't ACTUALLY noticed a Ross Perot political ads, you just don't watch close enough. His ads are subliminal too. A subliminal message in a subliminal ad? It's possible. Trust me. A better future in which we live in perfect bliss, world hunger is wiped out, and there are no harsh feelings anywhere? Yes. Trust me.
