Requirements for Admission into Teacher Education Program:
- Earn and maintain a grade point average of 2.7 both overall and in the teaching major.
- Successfully complete the Praxis I: PreProfessional Skills Test -- taken most often during the semester in which the student enrolls in Educational Psychology.
- Maintain grades of B- or better in all education courses.
- Formal application and approval by both the Education Department and the major department.
- Meet additional requirements established by the Board of Teaching as mandated.
A student applies for admission to the program only after declaring a major. Approval must be granted by both the Department of Education and the academic major department.
