Eric McDonald received his bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from Luther College, and then after several years working in jobs ranging from small town youth director to working with street kids in Chicago, he came to the realization that education was one of the most important things for the betterment of young people. He received his teaching license and MSE in secondary science education from the University of WI River Falls. He is pursuing his PhD at the University of Minnesota in Science Education and currently has ABD status. He has teaching experience in both traditional and alternative settings. Currently he is in a joint position, shared between the Education and Biology departments. He teaches Principles of Education, Science Methods, Standards and Technology, Biology 121, Biology 110, and observes student teachers. In his spare time he likes to camp, canoe, garden, and build stuff with his children Grace and Simon and wife Sarah.
