Barb's Design
Barb and Fred are the caretakers of a lawn that has been established for upwards of 14 years. A landscape architect designed the lawn piece by piece, each year adding a few more plants in different regions,  and what has resulted is shown on some of the pictures below.

Barb says she wasn't much of a gardener to start, but when they moved in to their home with its beautiful yard, she felt some pressure to keep it looking good. What she expected to be quite a technical task has actually been fairly simple. The trick is: stay on top of weeding and be patient. Following these basic guidelines has enabled this established garden to basically take care of itself.

birdbath
What started as a small six-pack of flowers, has now covered the ground in this corner of the garden.  Be patient in the garden: if you give your plants some time to get settled, you'll reap great rewards!

The birdbath is an excellent addition to any outdoor garden.  It serves as a great invitation to local birds, and also gives your garden a sense of order.
