Chemistry
St. Olaf College, a liberal arts college nationally renowned for its natural science and mathematics programs, requests applications for a tenure-track chemist with expertise in organic synthesis starting September 1, 2010. Mathematics Education/Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at St. Olaf College seeks a person with interest and expertise in both secondary mathematics education and mathematics, for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position beginning September, 2010. Preference will be given to candidates with either (i) a doctorate in mathematics education and at least master's level background in mathematics, or (ii) a doctorate in mathematics with significant graduate coursework in mathematics education. Teaching experience at the secondary level and with diverse students is highly desirable. MORE

Psychology
he Department of Psychology at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, announces a full-time tenure-track position in social psychology at the level of assistant (or associate) professor, beginning September 1, 2010. Applicants with an ability to add intellectual diversity and cultural richness to the department are particularly encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities include courses in social psychology, research methods, and introductory psychology, and an advanced course in a self-selected area of specialization. A completed Ph.D. in psychology by the time of appointment is required. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education, and have experience or potential for conducting an active program of research with undergraduates.
