Over the years my courses included Russian, Chinese, East Asian, modern Europe, and Eastern Christianity.

Currently I am living near Seattle in Washington state, where my youngest daughter and her family live. I spend my time reading, writing, gardening, playing with my granddaughter Emma (8 yers old). In the summer I preside over the Otter club. The aim of the club is to make sure all the young children who spend time at The Bay (our home on Puget Sound) learn to swim and get good summer exercise.

Although I am retired, I still keep a hand in research and writing on Russian history. I am active in our church--Poulsbo First Lutheran, which is a church with Norwegian-American roots.
