Interdisciplinary and General Studies
Welcome to the website for the Faculty of Interdisciplinary and General Studies!
This Faculty was established to provide a home for a variety of interdisciplinary departments and programs:
- from area studies to environmental studies to programs in women’s studies and media and film.
- special programs such as the Collaborative Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (CURI) program, the Center for Integrative Studies (CIS), which allows students to design their own majors, and the International and Off-Campus Studies Office, which provides students with opportunities to study off campus, domestically and internationally.
- the College Writing program
- the general education program in writing (WRI), oral communication (ORC) and ethics in normative perspectives (EIN).
