〜ませんか

〜ませんか can be used to extend an invitation.  It should be noted that the affirmative counterpart of this (ますか) cannot be so used.  

テニスをしませんか。            Will you play tennis with me?

ひるごはんをたべませんか。     What do you say to having lunch with me?
