You can describe where things are by using some of the location words below:

うしろ　　　　behind

なか 　　　　　inside

うえ 　　　　　on/above

した　　　　　under/beneath

そば　　　　　near

となり　　　　next to

The format is as follows:

The particle で is used with these words.
