The Linguistic Studies concentration consists of a minimum of FIVE courses:

Asian Studies 240: Talking in Japan and the U.S.: Language, Identity, and Beyond
Asian Studies 300: East Asian Languages and Linguistics (only if the topic of this course is on this issue.)
Education 245: Teaching and Learning English Grammar
Education 353: Teaching of World Languages
Philosophy 240: Formal Logic
Psychology 222: Psychology of Hearing
Spanish 276: Spanish as a First and Second Language
Spanish 311: Language in Society
Theatre 200: Voice and Phonetics
Category B: The course that is related to linguistics
All the other courses listed under OTHER APPROVED COURSES in the catalog.
Category C: Course counts for Linguistic Studies credit after consultation with instructor and Linguistic Studies Director.
