Christensen received a B.M. from Illinois State University, a M.S.L.S. from the University of Illinois, and a M.A. in musicology from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Music Library Association (Program Chair, 1992; MLA Board member 1992-1994; currently on Reference Performance Subcommittee), Music Library Association — Midwest Chapter (Chair, 1987-1989; currently chairing the Bylaws Committee), and Sonneck Society. Research interests include bibliographic instruction in music and early twentieth-century American music. She has published articles in American Music, Notes, Research Strategies, and Reference and User Services quarterly. |
