Internett: Names. Look over the names in the textbook on p. 5 and on the web page for most popular names (women | men). Look also at the web pages that show the historical use of the names (women | men). Choose 4 Norwegian first names that you like and would be willing to use as your Norwegian name in class. Rank the names by putting the one you like the best first and the least last. Include this ranked list of 4 names in the letter to your teacher described below. Your teacher will assign names to the class based on your preferences.
Skriving:
Write a one-page letter to your teacher using the instructions listed in ex. 1.1. Please type.
Tema: Greetings, names, and countries. Study p. 4-7 in the textbook and listen to the audio tracks for those pages online at www.norwords.com. Note that you can also download the audio for each chapter for listening on a computer or a MP3 player.
Skriving: Do Ex. 1.2, 1.3, and 1.5 in the workbook. (We will go over these exercises in class on Monday.)
