During the last
two class sessions,
pairs of students will be giving review presentations that incorporate
topics and vocabulary from the 15 chapters we have covered in Sett
i gang. These presentations will be part of our review for the
final exam. See information below.
1. Written script: You and your partner will create a presentation that describes yourselves and your lives in your hometowns and at St. Olaf.
a) The presentation should last approximately 3-4 minutes, so you will need to write a script that is about 2-3 pages long. You and your partner should have equal parts in the writing and the presenting.
b)
You must address all the main topics we have covered during first
semester, but you can incorporate them into your presentation in any
order. Some of the topics can be easily combined (see overview of topics below).
c)
Each group will also choose one 3-chapter section of the textbook to include in the presentation in more detail.
d) Be
creative in writing your script,
but use the vocabulary and phrases presented in the book.
e) The first draft of your written script is due on Wed., Dec. 5, and the final draft is due on the day your present in class.
2. PowerPoint
Presentation: You and your partner will create a PowerPoint presentation
that illustrates your written script
a) Your PowerPoint should include a variety of photos that illustrates your presentation in a creative way.
b) Your PowerPoint should have some text, such as single words, bullet points or photo captions, but you shouldn't try to get all of your written text into the PowerPoint.
c) The first draft of your PowerPoint is due on Wed. Dec. 5, and the final draft must be uploaded to the shared folder for your class the evening before your presentation. You may also bring the powerpoint to class on a CD.
3. Presentation in Class: You need to be ready to go at the beginning of the class period and have your PowerPoint in the class shared drive
a) You will speak only Norwegian during your presentation, and you
and your partner should have equal parts.
b) You may use notecards or some text in your PowerPoint to help you, but you may not read directly from your written script.
