I. Intervju: Studentene intervjuer
hverandre
- You and your partner are going to be interview each
other on a Norwegian television program about American
students learning Norwegian. Prepare an interview with
your partner that conveys as much interesting information
about yourselves as possible. Use at least 5 questions
from the Britt Holm interview on pg. T20-1, and include
4-5 other questions of your own.
- You can write out the interview ahead of time if you
wish, but you can't refer to any written materials during
the oral exam. Practice the interview enough so that you
can complete it without long pauses in between the
questions.
II. Høytlesning: Studentene

- Practice reading aloud the text "Pelle-Ragnar i den
gule gården" I will choose a portion of it for you
to read during the oral exam.)
- You should be able to read at a moderate tempo,
without any long pauses between words or sentences.
III. Intervju: Læreren
intervjuer studentene
- I will interview each of you about the topics covered
in the first 5 chapters, such as learning Norwegian,
identity, descriptions of people, family, names, living
conditions, moving, household chores, descriptions of
homes and rooms, and leisure activities. Please review
especially the words and questions found in the following
Ord i sammenheng sections: T2, 6, 13, 31, 46, 48, 68.
- You should be able to understand these questions
asked at a moderate tempo and be able to respond in a
reasonable amount of time. Practice also some responses
to help you control the conversation: Unnskyld, kunne du
si det en gang til? Hva betyr ____? etc.
IV. Beskrivelse:
- Each of you will describe your dormitory and your
room at St. Olaf. Bring a map of campus showing the
location of your dormitory, and bring a drawing of your
dorm room. The drawing should show the location of the
door, the windows, the furniture, and the decorations,
but please don't label anything.
- Include the following in your description: name of
the dormitory, location on campus, positive and negative
features of living in your dorm, location of your room in
the dorm, your roommate, condition of your room (clean or
messy) and chores you do (or don't do), description of
your room (door, windows, furniture, decorations), what
you like best and least about your room.
- You should be able to give your description at a
moderate tempo, without long pauses in between the
sentences.
