Olelaget
Olelaget is an organization of come-when-you-can, have-a-good-time music groups. Usually they make music on their own, but occasionally they perform and sometimes they perform together. They share a digital library of music. Check out our music archive.
There are currently two groups active.
- Oleanna Singers is a singing group that meets on one Monday evening a month following supper at the Norwegian conversation tables. But everyone is welcome! Check out Oleanna for more information.
- The Runestones is an accordion group that meets on two Wednesday evenings a month for supper and tunes. The base of the repertoire is Nordic oldtime, but they like fusion and they like eclectic. One of their favorite melodies is an African tune widely known in Scandinavia. Beginners are welcome and cordially invited! Even if you have never played a note! Some instruments are available for lending. Check out The Runestones for more information.
We hope to form a group for fiddlers as well. Interested students are invited to speak to Professor Andrea Een. Stay tuned for information.
