Areas of specialization include moral philosophy, social and political philosophy, feminist theory and gender/sexuality studies with particular interest in the nature of the emotions relevant to our moral lives, such as empathy and shame, and in gendered aspects of moral development. Her publications appear in American Philosophical Quarterly, Hypatia, and Journal of Value Inquiry, among other places.
