Charles Taliaferro, Professor of Philosophy, is the author or co-author, editor or co-editor of fifteen books, most recently The
Image in Mind; Theism, Naturalism and the Imagination
(Continuum), co-authored with Jil Evans. With Stewart Goetz he is the co-author of the forthcoming A Brief History of the Soul (Blackwell) and co-editor of the forthcoming The Routledge Companion to Theism.  Taliaferro has been a visiting scholar at Oxford, Princeton, NYU, and Columbia, and he is the philosophy of religion area editor for Blackwell’s Philosophy Compass and the Book Review Editor for Faith and Philosophy.  He has given lectures at Oxford, Cambridge, University of St. Andrews (Scotland), Yale, NYU, University of Chicago, the Gregorian (Rome), University of Beijing (China), and elsewhere. Taliaferro is a member of APA Committee on the Status and Future of the Profession.  He is currently working on projects in philosophy of religion, philosophy of mind, ethics (with a focus on environmental ethics), and aesthetics. In addition to scholarship, Taliaferro also contributes to philosophy and popular culture volumes; the topics include the Olympics, Narnia, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Tolkien, Spider-Man.  He has been voted to give the Last Lecture to six out of the last twelve graduating classes at St. Olaf College.  In 2006 Cowley Press published over forty essays of his on love in Love. Love. Love. And Other Essays.
