Rube Goldberg Photos of the team and the championship!
We are so proud!---March 2009
See the St. Olaf team that won the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest run their machine three times for judges at Purdue University and celebrate as they're crowned national champions.
St. Olaf, a first-time entrant in the competition, was the only liberal arts college competing and the only school in the contest without an engineering program. The Oles' machine took 239 steps to break a light bulb and replace it with 150 light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that spell out "St. Olaf."
