Planning Guide for the Social Work Major

Greetings from the Social Work Program Director! This is meant as a guide only, and shows social work courses and components in typical sequence. Do not let it overwhelm you, as the faculty and staff in the Program are committed to helping you plan your course of study at St. Olaf in a way that meets your learning goals. You can major in social work, get a concentration, study off-campus and still be an athlete and a musician. However, it does require some careful planning and some prioritizing. So, review the information below, and then come in and see us; we love to advise students!
