Bienvenidos a la Casa Hispánica!

La Casa Hispánica (above) serves as a venue for lectures, films, musical groups and social activities with Hispanic themes and is facilitated by a resident speaker of Spanish.

This year's resident speaker is Javiera Alfaro (above) from Costa Rica.

Lindsey Shimizu and Paul Peterson (at left) prepare a meal that would typically be served in Costa Rica, Uruguay, España and Mexico for this year's First Cultural Activity: Hispanic Food. Javiera Alfaro and Maija Witte (on right) approve.

At left, guests and house residents Caroline Beattie, Maija Witte, Breanna Zarmbinski and Kelly Harrington, enjoy the great food and friendship at Casa Hispánica. On the right, students discuss current issues with Professor Villate-Isaza while waiting for the meal to be prepared.
