The year 2002 marked a major milestone in the history of the Department of Romance Languages at St. Olaf College.  May 2002 saw the retirement of Professor Frank Odd, who had taught at St. Olaf since 1970, and December 2002 marked the retirement of Professor James Dunlop, who had taught here since 1968. Their collective wisdom has guided and inspired the work of the Department for the past quarter-century.
