THEATRE NEWS & NOTES

Dona Werner Freeman, Jeanne Wilcoxon and Todd Edwards presented an adaptation of
Ellen McLaughlin's Helen at the Minnesota Fringe Festival and on campus in mid September.
This was an interdisciplinary exploration in both process and performance. Approaching Helen in an original way; one that went beyond normal rehearsal practices to discover how music, movement and media contributed to the staging of this already unique text.

Dona Werner Freeman is featured in a recently released documentary Twenty Years of Frank Theatre charting the progress and celebrating the endurance of Minneapolis' Frank Theatre. www.franktheatre.org

Todd Edwards was the Scenic and Sound Designer for Miss Firecracker Contest at Starting Gate Theatre and Scenic Designer for The Odd Couple at Commonweal Theatre. Todd taught a Stage Combat Workshop at Shattuck St. Mary's School in Faribault and presented a scenic design workshop at the Biennial Play Festival hosted by Minnesota Association of Community Theatres. He also was the scenic designer for Wiley and the Hairy Man produced by the Intergenerational Theatre.
