St. Olaf College Theatre
Co-Curricular Production Program

The St. Olaf theater produces five mainstage productions and the Quade One-Act Play Festival each year. Three of the mainstage productions are staged in our proscenium theatre and two in our flexible space theatre. Students are involved in all aspects of our productions, including directing and designing.

It is the intention of the Theatre production program to enhance the cultural life of the campus community through theater performance. Performance works help us to celebrate life, reach a fuller understanding about the experience and challenge ourselves and others to engage in the development of our culture.

The Theatre production program is an experiential laboratory for students and faculty where the the ideas, information and skills from courses can be examined and experienced. The Theatre major relies on the production program to complete its educational goals.

The Theatre production program allows majors to view and experience a range of theatrical works in performance during their college career.
