Theatre Facilities

The Theatre Building provides exceptional facilities for the varied work of the department. Two public performance spaces are located in the Theatre complex. The Kelsey Theater is a 348 seat proscenium theatre and the Haugen Theater is a 110 seat flexible space theatre. These theatres and the adjacent technical support areas are fully equipped to offer students the opportunity to experience the art of theater in one of the finest facilities in the upper Midwest. Library, classrooms, rehearsal spaces, computer labs, and construction studios (scenery, props, and costumes) combine to produce a heavily used, efficient, and productive area for students to meet the needs of the curricular and co-curricular programs.

The Kelsey Theatre
Named for Elizabeth Walsingham Kelsey.
