Globalization has been defined (Bealey, F. Blackwell dictionary of political science, 1999.) as a "term indicating a movement to a world society...." Hillary French ( Vanishing borders: Protecting the planet in the age of globalization, 2000) uses globalization "to refer to a broad process of societal transformation that encompasses...growth in trade, investment, travel, computer networking, and transboundary pollution."
