Senior Campaign Kick-Off
The seniors-only kick-off event for the Senior Campaign with President Anderson was in the Pause on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 5-7:00 p.m. There was free pizza and soft drinks. Seniors who made a pledge to The St. Olaf Fund received a Senior Campaign t-shirt. If you missed the event and want a t-shirt - make your pledge today and you'll get your t-shirt in your PO.

Check out our shirts
Designed by Jane Meyer '11, the campaign t-shirts are Gildan SoftStyle, super comfy, and a nice shade of light blue. Gildan's t-shirts are socially responsible and environmentally friendly.

Meet the 2011 Campaign Committee
The senior campaign is led by two chairs, Anna and Hal, and a committee of 45 seniors.

What are the goals?
Anna and Hal, the campaign chairs have set the bar high - 100% participation and $10,000. Every 7 pledges will raise the percentage roughly 1 point. The Class of 2007 and the Class of 2005 are tied for holding the senior campaign participation record of 83%.

Your participation is essential
Gifts to The St. Olaf Fund are used to support the annual operating expenses of the college-financial aid, faculty salaries, books, computers and lab equipment, and so much more.

The percentage of alumni who donate annually is indicative of alumni satisfaction. Every gift increases our percentage, and helps show the world you valued your time on the Hill.

What is the history of the campaign?
The Senior Class Campaign program started in 1987 and has grown significantly. Check out how other classes gave over the years.

Why the free t-shirt and food? Doesn't the cost off-set my pledge?
In the short-term, yes.  However, the t-shirts are used to create a buzz surrounding the campaign.  Not only will seniors recognize the t-shirts, but first-years, sophomores and juniors will ask questions and begin to understand the importance of the Senior Campaign. It’s our hope that years from now when you’re rich and famous you will still wear your shirt and will remember the importance of philanthropy and the importance of The St. Olaf Fund.
