April Best '11
April Best is a senior Nursing major from Antigo, WI.  Her parents are Nathan Best, a Licensed Journeyman Plumber and hobby farmer, and Aimee Best, a former Registered Nurse and current substitute teacher.  April's older brother graduated from West Point in 2009 and is currently serving in Iraq, and her younger sister is a senior in high school.  For fun, April enjoys swing dancing, journaling, and partaking in deep conversations.  This coming year she hopes to find employment in a warmer locality as a Registered Nurse, and she is particularly interested in the fields of Oncology and Pediatrics.

Lue Vang '11
Lue Vang is a senior who was born in Thailand and came to St. Paul, Minnesota with his family in 1995. He is majoring in Economics with emphasis on Management and International Economics Analysis. His parents are Yong Xeng Vang and Lou Lee; born and raised in Laos. He has four brothers and three sisters. After graduation, he hopes to work for corporate America and gain real world experience before entering graduate school to pursue his MBA.

Bruce Dalgaard
Professor of Economics and Asian Studies
Executive Director, Center for Experiential Learning

The author or co-author of five books, in 1990 Dalgaard was a Fulbright research Fellow at China University. In 1997-98 he was Visiting Professor in the International Division, Waseda University (Tokyo). He regularly teaches Interim courses on Japanese management practices. He came to St. Olaf in 1992 after serving as director of the Center for Economic Education at the University of Minnesota. He earned his degrees at the University of Illinois (Urban-Champaign).
