3. Explore the spirit of nature in religious study and practice.

Create chapel services that connect with natural seasons as well as liturgical seasons (often the same thing), and publicize them.

Continue worship celebrations for the feast of Francis of Assisi and Earth Week.

Use the student congregation's "Advocacy Sundays" to think about environmental issues and the Creation.

Work with the ELCA's Division for Church in Society to develop educational programs to connect the life of faith with the life of creation.

Create connections between the student congregation and the Environmental Coalition like the 2003 Heifer Project ark.

Use the 2006 Summer Conference on Worship, Theology and the Arts to synthesize campus thinking on connections between God and people and nature, and to catalyze additional work on campus and in congregations.

Work with the Director of Church Relations to share this work more regularly with congregations that might be interested.

Engage St. Olaf students with the care of creation at St. Olaf to embody the stewardship that is integral to Christian conceptions of vocation.

Engage St. Olaf students with the nature of St. Olaf-on our restorations and natural lands-to provide opportunities for their spiritual lives to grow organically from their connections to God's creation.
