Building on our environmental principles and our current accomplishments, St. Olaf College should continue its care for creation in coming years. These recommendations outline a comprehensive program of environmental improvement. Some of these recommendations can be realized immediately. Others will require planning, debate, and hard choices. Some of them may be desirable but not doable, as the college cannot commit unlimited financial resources. The challenge for students, staff, faculty, administrators and Regents of the college is to consider these recommendations, and find cost-effective ways to implement them—or better alternatives—as soon as possible.
