International Students

International student services are provided by the International Student Advisor (ISA). The ISA offers assistance to international students - those that are required to have a visa in order to study in the U.S. (F-1 visas, J-1, etc.). These include degree-seeking students, non-degree-seeking exchange students, and language house assistants. American Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or Global Nomads are also served by the ISA, and are included in the international community activities. The ISA seeks to educate, counsel, befriend, and advise international students on academic, personal, career, and immigration issues.

We contribute to the international integration of campus through planning programs such as International Student Orientation, International Night, Friendship Family program, International Education Week, International Student Picnic, and the International Student Banquet, etc. In addition, the ISA serves as an advisor to the International Society Organization (ISO), student organization for all students interested in international issues and cultures. We also provide annual Social Security sessions, tax preparation sessions, and work authorization sessions (CPT & OPT), etc.

For more information or to make an appointment, please contact the International Student Adviser. We welcome you to stop by our office anytime in the Administration Building , Rm 101.
