"Worn, Wise"
The Ruth y Nohemi Project,
Chichicastenango, Guatemala
LivKarin Sulerud '04
Sustainable Development and Social Change in Central America program
The Ruth y Nohemi Project is a widows weaving cooperative near Chichicastenango. These women, worn and wise, bear a title that names them for those who are no longer present - their husbands and sons, lost to brutal civil conflict.
