"Reflection on London"

Bridge Street Corner - London, England

London is an amazing city. As the saying goes, "When you're bored in London, you're bored of life."

It is a center of preserved British tradition and emerging
contemporary culture. Standing at the corner of Bridge Street and Parliament Square, under the Westminster Underground Station overhang sheltering me from the pouring rain, the reflection off the windows grasped my attention and struck me with awe.

As I gazed up at the new, modern architecture on the building that towered over me, I noticed the pervasive image of Big Ben clearly cutting through it. Just then, the bells tolled from the beautiful, ornate clock tower and resonated through the bustling streets. It reminded me that despite the progressive society, long-standing traditions are at the heart of London's charm and are found everywhere. The fusion of old and new emerges literally on every street corner.
