Standing at the top of the steps leading to Sun Yet Sen's Mausoleum, I watched a little boy run through the falling snow across the wide landing below me. I was struck by the little figure dressed in red who seemed at that moment to embody China.
He was at once both part of the tradition that surrounded and part of China's youth who will shape the country's future.
