"Women's Work"
Garoui (village) near Bogra, Bangladesh

Development & Community in Bangladesh Interim Our group spent a day cooking a meal with women in our adopted village in Bangladesh. It was absolutely unbelievable to me how much went into cooking that meal - and how good the meal was, even though the entire thing was cooked over two little firepits in this extended family's "front yard."
There has recently been a lot of concern in Bangladesh over the prevalence of lung disorders among women - this presumably has something to do with the fact that they spend so much time hunched over fire pits, breathing in smoke.
