2005 Photo Contest Winner
"A window into the Past"

The Nash House, Stratford-upon-Avon
(Shakespeare's Birthplace)
Anna Gulbrandsen '06
Theatre in London Interim

The Nash House is one of the historical houses in the small town of Stratford. Tourists usually go to Shakespeare's birthplace as their first house on the stop, and then visit two or three more houses that are connected to Shakespeare and his family. The Nash House was owned by Shakespeare's granddaughter, and it is the house where Shakespeare later lived and died.

The gardens outside are quite beautiful and the vines that have overgrown and now shield many windows reminded me of the legacy of Shakespeare and all of his contributions.
