Karnak Temple, Luxor, Egypt We were touring the Temple of Karnak in Luxor on a hot Egyptian afternoon and tried to take refuge from the scorching sun in any shade available. This little bird found a perfect haven from the sun inside the hieroglyphics carved into the cool stone. This picture is a reminder that nature and civilization are inextricably bound together and always have been. |
