"A Rainy Day in the City of London"
Paternoster Square, the view from the

St. Paul's Cathedral is located in the part of London they refer to as The City. There are 530 spiraling steps up to the top gallery, the Golden Gallery. I hesitated halfway up the stairs and though about going back down, since my fear of heights was starting to overwhelm me. However, when I walked around and started snapping photos of the view from only halfway up the dome, I realized how beautiful the city was, even in the pouring rain. I was especially taken with this view of Paternoster Square, and how oddly empty it seemed from up this high. These views encouraged me to trek all the way to the top, and I was very happy I did, regardless of my shaking legs and soaked hair.
