For my art history research in Longon, I observed the usage of public space, especially the Millennium Bridge and the Trafalgar Square extension by architect Norman Foster. The Millennium Bridge connects St. Paul's Cathedral to the Tate Modern Museum, and the financial district to the South Bank enterntainment district. The Bridge is used by businessmen, tourists, bicyclers, runners and museum goers. It's a space characterized by transition; most simply admire the view of the Thames while they cross the bridge.
