Browsing
Journals Related to Exercise Science
St. Olaf's Rolvaag Library and Glasoe Science Library subscribe
to a number of journals (in print and electronic format) which
relate to the field Exercise Science. While browsing these journals
is not the most effective way to search for a very specific
topic (the databases listed below are), it is one way to check
out what's recently been published and to brainstorm potential
research topics. Here are just some of the relevant journals
to which we have subscriptions:
|
Doping Journal
International Journal of Sport Nutrition
& Exercise Metabolism
International Journal of Sports Medicine
Journal of Applied Biomechanics
Journal of Athletic Training
Journal of Exercise Phsyiology
Journal of the International Society for
Sports Nutrition
|
Journal of Sport Behavior
Journal of Sports Science & Medicine
Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical
Fitness
Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise
Neuromodulation
Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport
Sports Medicine
|
To find out how to access any of these journals,
go to our Periodical
Title List and enter the journal name.

fairly easy to use and provides the full-text to many
(not all) of the articles it cites. Always worth
searching.
LexisNexis

legal, and reference information. Excellent source for full-text
articles in national and international newspapers. Also
includes "Medical News" and "Medical Journals" search features.
New York Times (1851-2004): Offers "full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue." |

WorldCat:
Searching Beyond St. Olaf and Carleton
WorldCat:
A "catalog of catalogs" that provides records for
materials owned by numerous libraries across the country and
internationally. This database, combined with our Interlibrary
Loan services (see below) allows you to use materials from
throughout the country. |
Interlibrary
Loan
Any item not owned by St. Olaf or Carleton
may be ordered through Interlibrary Loan (ILL), provided you allow
enough time. Our ILL request software is called ILLiad. You'll
need to register in ILLiad the first time you use it. SEE
