Finding Books, Videos, and Recordings
You can find books, music scores, videos, and sound recordings by searching Bridge,
the joint online catalog for St. Olaf and Carleton College.
Using the web version of Bridge, try to perform a keyword search first. Remember these
tips when using keyword searches:

Examples:
Beethoven Symphony 9 in d minor, opus 125
Actual search: KEYWORD: Beethoven, 125
Rosen, The Classical Style: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven
Actual search: KEYWORD: Rosen, classical style
- Try to limit to a specific collection, or material type. For example, you can choose to
search for sound recordings at St. Olaf, or all music scores:

- Remember to use the Advanced Search tab to be even more selective in your searching. The
advanced search allows you to select your preferred location:
preferred language and year of publication:

and material type:

Notice that "Streaming Sound File" is an option--this means that you can search for a musical
recording that you may listen to online via the Naxos Music Library! For example, if you search for
"Mozart, Eine Kleine," and select "Streaming Sound File" within an advanced search, these are
the results:
Just click on the desired record, and a link will take you right to the Naxos Music Library, where you
can listen to the recording, even from off-campus!
